Carolyn Carlson Kaija Saariaho

With Hidden, a quartet for National Choreographic Centre dancers, Carolyn Carlson once more collaborated with Kaija Saariaho, drawing on the spirituality that characterises the Finnish composer's music for her inspiration.

This choreography by Carlson is carried along by "mysterious calls from the soul". The four dancers are transported into a strange world somewhere between heaven and earth by the secrets hidden behind every reality. What surfaces are images of the invisible and expressions of the impenetrable sources of life.

A project of excellence for the company, Hidden is performed by four highly virtuoso dancers.
